Food Review: Dohtonbori, SM Mall of Asia

Once again, another zero-regrets food stop at Dohtonbori, SM Mall of Asia!

Coming from a job interview across Mall of Asia, my friend Dane and I were starving. Not knowing where to eat, I suggested this since it had been a while from when I last ate here. The food is actually really filling even if you just split it between two and have it with rice. Dane couldn't finish hers, then had to get it for takeout. Anyway, on to the ratings!

First and foremost, THE FOOD.

...

We were on a budget. Sorry, only one order for now, but it was really worth it. I'm definitely gonna come back here to try more.

1. Hamburg Cheese Steak Okonomiyaki:

Price: 4.5/5 (PHP380) - pricy but I mean, it's super worth it given the serving size. It's actually circular in size. We just had ours cut into 4.

Taste: 5/5 - NO KIDDING. Just downright amazeballs.

2. Japanese Rice 🍚

Price: 4/5 (PHP60/cup) - the usual price I guess.

Taste: 4.5/5 - could have been a bit stickier for Jap rice tho.

As for the serving time, I'd give it a 4/5. Well... Great food does take some time.

As for the VENUE and SERVICE:

Ambience: 5/5 - very fitting and pretty Instagrammable

Cleanliness: 5/5

Customer Service: 5/5 - Had no issues with the staff. They were very friendly and accommodating.

There are basically 3 areas to dine in Dohtonbori.

The first three pictures represent the side that's closest to the entrance on the side of SM By the Bay. The usual booth and table setup. Normally good for up to 4-5 persons per booth. As for the pictures on the bottom row, they also represent a table and booth setup, though seems to be good for larger groups of customers. Lastly, if you want an even more Japanese vibe while you eating, there's the area where you could take off your shoes (they have lockers for this) and criss-cross your legs while eating.

Personally, I'd go for dining on the tatami mats in criss-cross position just for the vibe. 👌

Overall, I give Dohtonbori, Mall of Asia a 4.5/5. Definitely worth going back to.

Thanks for reading my review! Hope you enjoyed!
